Korean pop star Rain will serve as goodwill ambassador to promote the country’s tourism industry in 2007. The Korea Tourism Organization has appointed Rain to help promote Korean pop culture, tourist spots and restaurants around the world.
The tourism body is also promoting its newly-renovated Korean Wave Pavilion, part of its marketing activities centered around the Korean pop culture craze in Asia.
The organization says it hopes Rain will help Korea attract 7 million foreign visitors next year.
Meanwhile, Rain is set to kick off his world tour in Seoul on Friday.
