I have been consuming oat for quite sometime. Ever since I have read about the benefits of oat, I force myself to take it with milk at least once every night. After taking it for months, I found that it gives the benefits of:
1. Fend off hunger
2. relaxing effect
3. Reduces LDL cholesterol
#1 and #2 worked in me. Whenever I felt hungry, I would make a cup of oatmeal to diminish it. I have not go for a blood test to screen my cholesterol level thus I could not confirm if #3 actually works for me.
