Kang Dong Won, a South Korean actor and professional model, has made his mark in the entertainment industry with his critically acclaimed performance as a convicted murderer in the Korean movie Maundy Thursday also known as Our Happy Time.

Considered as one of the stars of the next generation of hallyu, he was first a professional model then turned into acting with his first lead role in the Korean TV drama 1% of Anything following his first acting role in Majestic Lady telecasted on the same year. He ventured to acting in movies in 2004 with his first movie Too Beautiful to Lie and slowly get recognition and put a stop to critics doubting his acting capability with his diverse movie roles. His passion in acting was showcased in his ability to learn an accent for the movie Maundy Thursday, his drive to learn dance moves for the movie Duelist, and his acting by voice alone in the 2007 true-to-life box-office hit movie . These hard works were duly recognized by various award-giving bodies with awards ranging from Best New Actor to Most Popular Actor.

Due to his great body shape, handsome looks and stylish persona, he still appears in a number of commercial footages for various companies like M+IVO, Cafe Latte, SHARP, Pantech & Curitel and Basic House to name a few.
