Jackie Chan’s Hollywood excuse

LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) – Jackie Chan blames Hollywood for his drunken stage invasion at a recent concert.

The martial arts star has accused movie bosses of ruining his musical ambitions and Chan was so desperate to prove his vocal talents he jumped on stage at a Hong Kong show.

He is quoted by America’s New York Daily News newspaper: “I always wanted to be a singer, and I still try to get my singing included in films.

“I sing every time during the closing credits of my films, but somehow when the films get dubbed in English they also bring in a different closing singer for the credits – which is very disappointing.”

The ‘Rush Hour’ actor admitted he was “drunk” when he caused chaos at the concert by jumping on stage and demanding a duet with Taiwanese singer-songwriter Jonathan Lee on Monday (10.07.06).

After asking for a duet, the 52-year-old actor tried to conduct the band and ended up stopping and starting the music several times.

As the audience began to heckle, Chan hurled insults back at them.
