Hallyu Stars Gather in Japan to Save Children

Hallyu Star Song Seung Heon, Actor Jung Joon Ho, singers SG Wannabe, Kangta, Shinhwa, and other top stars will gather in Osaka to save world children suffering with illnesses.

They will all be participating in the IVI Charity Concert being held at the Osaka Dome this coming 23rd.

The International Vaccine Institute (IVI) is the only international organization that serves to research and develop new vaccines for third-world countries, especially children, and is headquartered at Seoul National University. IVI which was established by the United Nations in 1997 has 38 countries and the World Health Organization (WHO) as its member. Research is conducted in Asia, Africa, South America, totaling 20 countries.

According to IVI, the event will feature the IVI Director-General Dr. John D. Clemens, and other governmental officials along with 30,000 or so Japanese Hallyu fans. The wife of the Japanese Prime Minister Shinjo Abe, Akie Abe and other political figures will attend with 200 or so disadvantaged children and the disabled in an event to promote the exchange of Japanese and Korean culture.

This event will introduce the accomplishments of IVI and also promote South Korea as the host of IVI which serves as a leader of Asia.

Singer Lee Hyo Ri, Se7en, Jang Na Ra, Shinhwa, and Park Eun Hye amongst others participated in the event last year.

This concert is hosted by Korea’s CTC Entertainment and Japan’s SJ Entertainment with the sponsorship of the Osaka office of Mindan (The Korean Residents Union in Japan), Asiana Airlines, and others.
