Song Il-gon, the exceptional director of Spider Forest, Git and Magicians is prepping a new feature entitled Telephone Girl.
Budgeted at $5 million, the film will be under the producing hands of a new company called JinJin Pictures.
Telephone Girl tells the story of a female switchboard operator growing up in ’20s and ’30s era Korea, which at the time was under Japanese rule. In particular, the film will focus on her romantic life as she travels on her path to become a more modern woman.
No word, as of yet, on when the film will hit Korean screens.
